Serene Lakes

Time to sit back and relax at the Lake…Serene Lakes that is!    No motorized water vehicles are allowed on the lake making it ideal for families with small kids. Rent some Kayaks or Stand Up Paddle boards (SUPs) and get out on the water.  Bring you fishing gear and cast a line!

There are actually TWO lakes Serena (North Facing) and Dulzara (South Facing).  The lakes teem with rainbow and lake trout.  During the winter months the lakes are completely covered in ice and snow.  Just a note that all water sports and fishing are restricted to Dulzara (which is coincidentally where the beach is).

The area has some amazing cabins and is a great place to just walk around and check out the local scene.  We highly suggest walking the neighborhood and checking it our or taking a leisurely bike ride as its fully paved and there isn’t much of a grade in the area making it easy for kids.

From Lola

Serene Lakes is about 3 miles from Lola. Head down Lola Montez towards Donner Pass and take a left onto Donner Pass road.  You will come to the only light in Soda Springs at Soda Springs road and make a right.  From here head down the road about 2 miles to Serene road and take a right.  You should be able to see the lake and area’s for parking and accessing the lake.
